How to Use the AI Resume Agent
The AI Resume Agent is your personal career coach. It reads your resume, identifies weaknesses, and proposes specific changes you review before applying.
Unlike one-click AI tools, the Resume Agent is a conversational experience. It understands your full resume, can target it to specific job descriptions, and proposes changes as diffs you accept or reject. Every edit is transparent — nothing changes without your approval.
Step-by-step guide
Open the AI Resume Agent
From the builder, click the "AI Resume Agent" button in the sidebar (sparkles icon). Or access it from the dashboard via the CV card dropdown menu.
Use quick actions or chat freely
Three quick actions are available: "Improve my score" (scores your resume and proposes top 3 fixes), "Target my resume" (tailors to a job description), and "Find weak bullets" (identifies and rewrites the weakest bullets).
Attach a job description (optional)
Click the context tab and paste a job description. The agent uses it to tailor your summary and bullet points to match the target role's keywords and requirements.
Review proposed changes
The agent proposes changes as before/after diffs in a side panel. Review each change, then click Accept or Reject. Only accepted changes are saved to your resume.

Does the agent change my resume automatically?
No. Every change is proposed as a diff. You review and explicitly accept or reject each one. Nothing is saved without your approval.
Can the agent target my resume to a specific job?
Yes. Paste a job description in the context tab, then ask the agent to tailor your resume. It performs a gap analysis and proposes rewrites that align with the role.
How many times can I use the agent?
Free users get credits for agent turns. Starter and Pro subscribers get more monthly credits.
