How does suggestion history work?
Every time you click Generate, the result is stored as a new suggestion (not overwriting the body). Your history lists each suggestion with its role, company, tone, and timestamp. Click Apply to load any version into the editor; click Regenerate for a fresh take. Nothing is lost.
What does "resume-aware highlights" mean?
When you link an existing resume, AceCV reads it to populate the position and education highlight fields automatically (latest role and most recent degree). Toggle off the auto-fill switch to override either field manually.
Will every cover letter sound the same?
No — the AI grounds each letter in the role, company, JD, highlights, and tone you set. Different inputs produce different letters; you can also regenerate the same inputs for tone variation in your suggestion history.
Do I need a CV first?
No, the cover letter builder works standalone. Linking a resume is optional but unlocks resume-aware highlight auto-fill.
How long is the output?
180–280 words, four paragraphs. Long enough to make a real case, short enough to fit on one page.
